The package asks the user which files to put in a \includeonly command. There is provision for answering ``same as last time'' or ``all files''.

The system employs scripts, common utility programs, and a set of MetaPost macros to provide a means of expressing the details outline fonts directly in the MetaPost language. The package name "beaulivre" is taken from the French words "beau" (= "beautiful") and "livre" (= "book").
