This package provides an algorithm to detect and characterize disturbances (start, end dates, intensity) that can occur at different hierarchical levels by studying the dynamics of longitudinal observations at the unit level and group level based on Nadaraya-Watson's smoothing curves, but also a shiny app which allows to visualize the observations and the detected disturbances. Finally the package provides a dataframe mimicking a pig farming system subsected to disturbances simulated according to Le et al.(2022) <doi:10.1016/j.animal.2022.100496>.

By gaining the property of emergence through self-organization, the enhancement of SOMs(self organizing maps) is called Emergent SOM (ESOM). The result of the projection by ESOM is a grid of neurons which can be visualised as a three dimensional landscape in form of the Umatrix. Further details can be found in the referenced publications (see url). This package offers tools for calculating and visualising the ESOM as well as Umatrix, Pmatrix and UStarMatrix. All the functionality is also available through graphical user interfaces implemented in shiny'. Based on the recognized data structures, the method can be used to generate new data.
Universally unique identifiers ('UUIDs') can be sub-optimal for many uses-cases because they are not the most character efficient way of encoding 128 bits of randomness; v1/v2 versions are impractical in many environments, as they require access to a unique, stable MAC address; v3/v5 versions require a unique seed and produce randomly distributed IDs, which can cause fragmentation in many data structures; v4 provides no other information than randomness which can cause fragmentation in many data structures. Providing an alternative, ULIDs (<https://github.com/ulid/spec>) have 128-bit compatibility with UUID', 1.21e+24 unique ULIDs per millisecond, support standard (text) sorting, canonically encoded as a 26 character string, as opposed to the 36 character UUID', use base32 encoding for better efficiency and readability (5 bits per character), are case insensitive, have no special characters (i.e. are URL safe) and have a monotonic sort order (correctly detects and handles the same millisecond).
Automatically converts language-specific verbal information, e.g., "1st half of the 19th century," to its standardized numerical counterparts, e.g., "1801-01-01/1850-12-31." It follows the recommendations of the MIDAS ('Marburger Informations-, Dokumentations- und Administrations-System'), see <doi:10.11588/artdok.00003770>.

This package provides tools to detect and correct measurement-unit errors in multivariate numeric data using model-based clustering. Gaussian mixture models with user-defined translation vectors identify clusters of records that differ in scale or unit. Core functionality includes cluster assignment via the EM algorithm, error correction based on posterior probabilities and pairwise scatterplot visualizations. For more details see Di Zio, Guarnera and Luzi (2005) <https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/en/pub/12-001-x/2005001/article/8087-eng.pdf>.
This package implements U-DDBART-IC, a unified Bayesian workflow for dynamic risk prediction from irregular longitudinal biomarkers when event times are interval-censored between clinical visits. The package turns long-format biomarker histories and patient-level interval endpoints L, R, C and delta into a discrete-time follow-up grid, summarises each landmark history with nine interpretable trajectory features (current, baseline and previous biomarker values, last visit gap, local slope, cumulative decline, best value, elapsed time and visit count), fits discrete-time interval hazards using optional logit-link Bayesian additive regression trees, a generalized linear model fallback, or a lightweight variational approximation, accumulates survival from the discrete-time product, and evaluates the interval-censored likelihood. Fitted models return landmark risk predictions over user-specified horizons with posterior or bootstrap uncertainty by evaluating survival ratios across fitted hazard draws. Utilities are provided for simulation, staged model fitting, plotting and summarising dynamic risk curves, IPCW Brier scores, cumulative/dynamic time-dependent area under the curve, calibration tables, and an anonymised chronic myeloid leukaemia molecular-monitoring example data set.

This R program provides an interface to the original VOSTOK C++ implementation by Bechtold and Hofle (2020), enabling efficient ray casting and solar position algorithms to compute solar irradiance for each point while accounting for shadowing effects. Integrates seamlessly with the lidR package for LiDAR data processing workflows. The original VOSTOK toolkit is available at <doi:10.11588/data/QNA02B>.
Variance function estimation for models proposed by W. Sadler in his variance function program ('VFP', www.aacb.asn.au/AACB/Resources/Variance-Function-Program). Here, the idea is to fit multiple variance functions to a data set and consequently assess which function reflects the relationship Var ~ Mean best. For in-vitro diagnostic ('IVD') assays modeling this relationship is of great importance when individual test-results are used for defining follow-up treatment of patients.
This package provides a variational Bayesian finite mixture model for the clustering of categorical data, and can implement variable selection and semi-supervised outcome guiding if desired. Incorporates an option to perform model averaging over multiple initialisations to reduce the effects of local optima and improve the automatic estimation of the true number of clusters. For further details, see the paper by Rao and Kirk (2024) <doi:10.48550/arXiv.2406.16227>.
