Circus is an R package for annotation, analysis and visualization of circRNA data. Users can annotate their circRNA candidates with host genes, gene features they are spliced from, and discriminate between known and yet unknown splice junctions. Circular-to-linear ratios of circRNAs can be calculated, and a number of descriptive plots easily generated.
This package contains the adaptation of bubblebath from MATLAB', developed by Adam Danz and available through the MATLAB Central File Exchange, and the tools to transform a dataframe of radii and points to plot-able paths.
This package provides tools for estimation and clustering of spherical data, seamlessly integrated with the flexmix package. Includes the necessary M-step implementations for both Poisson Kernel-Based Distribution (PKBD) and spherical Cauchy distribution. Additionally, the package provides random number generators for PKBD and spherical Cauchy distribution. Methods are based on Golzy M., Markatou M. (2020) <doi:10.1080/10618600.2020.1740713>, Kato S., McCullagh
P. (2020) <doi:10.3150/20-bej1222> and Sablica L., Hornik K., Leydold J. (2023) <doi:10.1214/23-ejs2149>.
This package provides a series of wrapper functions to implement the 10 maximum likelihood models of animal orientation described by Schnute and Groot (1992) <DOI:10.1016/S0003-3472(05)80068-5>. The functions also include the ability to use different optimizer methods and calculate various model selection metrics (i.e., AIC, AICc, BIC). The ability to perform variants of the Hermans-Rasson test and Pycke test is also included as described in Landler et al. (2019) <DOI:10.1186/s12898-019-0246-8>. The latest version also includes a new method to calculate circular-circular and circular-linear distance correlations.
This package provides tools for circular statistics, from "Topics in circular Statistics" (2001) S. Rao Jammalamadaka and A. SenGupta, World Scientific.
Light-weight functions for computing descriptive statistics in different circular spaces (e.g., 2pi, 180, or 360 degrees), to handle angle-dependent biases, pad circular data, and more. Specifically aimed for psychologists and neuroscientists analyzing circular data. Basic methods are based on Jammalamadaka and SenGupta
(2001) <doi:10.1142/4031>, removal of cardinal biases is based on the approach introduced in van Bergen, Ma, Pratte, & Jehee (2015) <doi:10.1038/nn.4150> and Chetverikov and Jehee (2023) <doi:10.1038/s41467-023-43251-w>.
Circular layout is an efficient way to visualise huge amounts of information. This package provides an implementation of circular layout generation in R as well as an enhancement of available software. Its flexibility is based on the usage of low-level graphics functions such that self-defined high-level graphics can be easily implemented by users for specific purposes. Together with the seamless connection between the powerful computational and visual environment in R, it gives users more convenience and freedom to design figures for better understanding complex patterns behind multi-dimensional data.

Circumplex models, which organize constructs in a circle around two underlying dimensions, are popular for studying interpersonal functioning, mood/affect, and vocational preferences/environments. This package provides tools for analyzing and visualizing circular data, including scoring functions for relevant instruments and a generalization of the bootstrapped structural summary method from Zimmermann & Wright (2017) <doi:10.1177/1073191115621795> and functions for creating publication-ready tables and figures from the results.
