x265 is a H.265 / HEVC video encoder application library, designed to encode video or images into an H.265 / HEVC encoded bitstream.

The MP4v2 library provides an API to create and modify mp4 files as defined by ISO-IEC:14496-1:2001 MPEG-4 Systems. This file format is derived from Apple's QuickTime file format that has been used as a multimedia file format in a variety of platforms and applications. It is a very powerful and extensible format that can accommodate practically any type of media.

This program normalizes media files to a certain loudness level using the EBU R128 loudness normalization procedure. It can also perform RMS-based normalization (where the mean is lifted or attenuated), or peak normalization to a certain target level. For integration with applications, the core OTIO library is implemented in C++ and provides an in-memory data model, as well as library functions for interpreting, manipulating, and serializing that data model. Within the core is a dependency-less library for dealing strictly with time, opentime.

VapourSynth is a C++ library and Python module for video manipulation. It aims to be a modern rewrite of Avisynth, supporting multithreading, generalized colorspaces, per frame properties, and videos with format changes.
