XML Bird is an XML parser library for programs written in Vala or C. It is developed for use by the birdfont font editor.
OpenSP is an object-oriented toolkit for SGML parsing and entity management. It is a fork of James Clark's SP suite. The tools it contains can be used to parse, validate, and normalize SGML and XML files. The central program included in this package is onsgmls, which replaces sgmls, ospam, ospent, osgmlnorm, and osx.
Xlsx2csv is a program to convert Microsoft Excel 2007 XML (XLSX and XLSM) format spreadsheets into plaintext comma separated values (CSV) files. It is designed to be fast and to handle large input files.

console-setup provides the console with the same keyboard configuration scheme that the X Window System has. In particular, the ckbcomp program compiles an XKB keyboard description to a keymap suitable for loadkeys or kbdcontrol. As a result, there is no need to duplicate or change the console keyboard files just to make simple customizations.
Besides the keyboard, the package also configures the font on the console. It includes a rich collection of fonts and supports several languages that would otherwise be unsupported on the console (such as Armenian, Georgian, Lao, and Thai).
