XML Bird is an XML parser library for programs written in Vala or C. It is developed for use by the birdfont font editor.

OpenSP is an object-oriented toolkit for SGML parsing and entity management. It is a fork of James Clark's SP suite. The tools it contains can be used to parse, validate, and normalize SGML and XML files. The central program included in this package is onsgmls, which replaces sgmls, ospam, ospent, osgmlnorm, and osx.

Xlsx2csv is a program to convert Microsoft Excel 2007 XML (XLSX and XLSM) format spreadsheets into plaintext comma separated values (CSV) files. It is designed to be fast and to handle large input files.

The xmlschema library is an implementation of XML Schema for Python. It has full support for the XSD 1.0 and 1.1 standards, an XPath-based API for finding schema's elements and attributes; and can encode and decode XML data to JSON and other formats.

Libxlsxwriter is a C library that can be used to write text, numbers, formulas and hyperlinks to multiple worksheets in an Excel 2007+ XLSX file.

untangle is a tiny Python library which converts an XML document to a Python object.

Xdpyinfo is used to display information about an X server: the capabilities of a server, the predefined values for various parameters used in communicating between clients and the server, and the different types of screens, visuals, and X11 protocol extensions that are available.

console-setup provides the console with the same keyboard configuration scheme that the X Window System has. In particular, the ckbcomp program compiles an XKB keyboard description to a keymap suitable for loadkeys or kbdcontrol. As a result, there is no need to duplicate or change the console keyboard files just to make simple customizations.

Besides the keyboard, the package also configures the font on the console. It includes a rich collection of fonts and supports several languages that would otherwise be unsupported on the console (such as Armenian, Georgian, Lao, and Thai).

This package provides a Xlib-based library for the X Present Extension.

Xmu library contains miscellaneous utilities and is not part of the Xlib standard. It is intended to support clients in the Xorg distribution; vendors may choose not to distribute this library if they wish. Therefore, applications developers who depend on this library should be prepared to treat it as part of their software base when porting.

Luit is a filter that can be run between an arbitrary application and a UTF-8 terminal emulator such as xterm. It will convert application output from the locale's encoding into UTF-8, and convert terminal input from UTF-8 into the locale's encoding.
